SAGINAW, MI — Demolition crews this week brought down a 132-year-old building in downtown Saginaw as part of ongoing efforts to create a new year-round farmers market in the community. Demolition of the structure known by many as “The Firestone building” at the corner of Federal and South Water began Friday, July 22, and wrapped up earlier this week. A thoughtful construction worker named Jason Haney thought it would be nice to do something to cheer up the children in the hospital next door. His idea was absolutely brilliant. Haney, with the help of his daughter, created an 8-foot-tall cut out of Where’s Waldo and hides it on the site every day for the kids in the Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend, Indiana to spot. 2016 Safety Stand Down on Water Rest and Shade, an initiative of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), is a weeklong training and awareness effort that is focused on keeping collection workers safe during hot weather. The 2016 NWRA Safety Stand Down on Water, Rest and Shade launches on May 16 with a week-long training and awareness initiative focused around reducing heat-related illness and injuries, a common challenge for industries where workers spend considerable time outdoors. This NWRA Safety Stand-Down will include a daily focus on safety issues related to keeping cool, hydrated and healthy in warmer weather and will conclude on May 20, 2016. (more…)

It was a very busy and proud weekend leading up to Monday, May 9, 2016, which was the first day that all divisions and offices of Moley Magnetics, Inc. began operating from our new corporate headquarters. The vision of Moley Magnetics, Inc., which came from the humble beginnings of a dedicate and legendary machine shop, is now encased in a professional 52,000 square foot machine shop, distribution facility and corporate offices.
